July 10 – Nuits-St. Georges Tasting
A first for Scott Paul Wines!! As many open houses and special flights as we’ve offered in the last few, we’ve never put a well-deserved spotlight on the wines of Nuits-St. Georges. The time has come! This will be a rare chance to taste some Village and Premier Cru wines from Burgundy stars Frédéric Mugnier, JJ Confuron, Taupenot-Merme, and Benjamin Leroux .
The vineyards surrounding the town of Nuits-St. Georges produce some of the most powerful and age-worthy wines in all of Burgundy. In the hands of the truly talented, they can also display a beautiful polish and sheen and succulent fruit that is quite seductive (and addictive!) We’ll feature four outstanding wines - the 2007 NSG Clos des Fourches from Mugnier, the 2007 NSG Les Fleurières from Confuron, the 2006 NSG Les Pruliers 1er Cru from Taupenot-Merme and the 2008 NSG Aux Thorey 1er Cru from Leroux.
