Domaine Pascal Bouley — Volnay
Pascal and his wife Réyane run this 27 acre estate with style and grace, and it shows in their wines. Representing the 6th generation of the family, their young son Pierrick has joined the team as of the 2005 harvest. The vines are very old – averaging over 50 years of age, and the wines are pure Volnay. From the succulent Volnay Robardelles to the intense Volnay Clos des Chênes, they age exceptionally well, revealing layers of aromas and flavors that are intoxicating and seductive.

2006 Volnay $35>>
- “(from Les Pluchots and Ez Echards). This is one of those wines “in the middle” as it’s neither elegant nor is it rustic with a red berry fruit and pungently earthy nose that precedes the nicely rich medium-bodied flavors supported by moderately firm tannins and good length. (86-89)/2011+”
