Domaine Philippe Chavy — Puligny-Montrachet
The fruit from these beautifully situated vineyards was sold to the negociant Bouchard Père et Fils for many years. Upon the retirement of his father a few years back, young Philippe Chavy took back the fruit and started making the wines himself. He has really come into his own in recent vintages, and the wines are racy, intense, and quite thrilling – textbook examples of the magnificent terroirs of Puligny-Montrachet. From the Bourgogne blanc to the Puligny 1er Cru les Pucelles, it’s nothing but top quality throughout the range.
